The eyes I use of the hand painting are called sinker eyes. They come in a sort of trapezoid shape with a slightly curved surface as opposed to the typical safety eyes that you would find in stores that are more of a dome shape. They eyes are design to sink into the plushies and create a smoother surface, in addition they are much more durable and will not come out once installed.

Yes, the hand painted safety eyes are washable due to the layer of uv nail polish added to the back. However, this will breakdown eventually over time if you wash the plush toy too often. For best results hand wash in cool soapy water and air dry only (do not put them in the dryer).

Yes, these marking on the sides of the eyes are due to the manufacturing process and cannot be avoided. They will however not be visible once they eyes are in the plushie.
